Industrial facility integrated civil design
Integrated civil design covering grading, containment, stormwater management, and access road design for a large industrial processing facility.
Civil design for a large industrial processing facility, where the grading, containment, drainage and access elements had to be resolved together rather than in sequence. Process area drainage had to be kept separate from clean site runoff, the containment floor had to drain to a controlled point, and the access road had to carry loaded traffic to the facility across the site’s fall.
Working the four elements as a single model meant the conflicts between them surfaced during design rather than during construction.
